OVERVIEW:

Beliefs and faiths are important and indispensable parts of people’s spiritual life, especially for Asian people. However, Asian culture includes more than just religious temples, great gods, incenses’ fragrant smell… Let’s join us, then we will show you another aspect of what we call “the oriental Saigon”. At the end of the tour, you might recognize how fascinating this city’s culture is, and how different Asian culture in Saigon is.

ITINERARY:

8:00 AM: Picking up and gathering at the meeting place.

First, we will visit a beautiful and colorful local Cao Đài Temple (District 5). Caodaism is a religious sect found only in Southern Vietnam, a religious combination of the Confucianism, the Christianity, the Taoism and the Buddhism.

Then, upon arrival at 374 Lê Hồng Phong alleys, we will enjoy a short walk (15-20 minutes) around Lê Hồng Phong Market, where is considered as a miniature Cambodia country, has sold plenty of Cambodian specialties, even Cambodian cuisine. There, you might know what a local market in Vietnam looks like.

Then, we will enjoy Vietnamese & Cambodian Sweet Soup for relaxing (optional choice).

Finally, we will visit FITO Museum (Museum of Traditional Vietnamese Medicine), see nearly 3,000 items relevant to traditional Vietnamese medicine and know how to prepare medicine with knives, grinders, mortars and pestles, pots and jars…Moreover, you will have an opportunity to become a herb doctor.

The tour ends at around 12:00 PM.
